Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact WebsiteAccess@tenethealth.com so that we may be of assistance.

Thank you. We hope you enjoy using our website.

Hilton Head Regional Healthcare is the region’s expert team on treatment of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. At the Wound Healing Center, our goal is to heal wounds thoroughly using leading edge treatments.

Our advanced approach offers:

  • A skilled and experienced team of professionals that includes certified wound and ostomy nurses along with physicians who specialize in podiatry, general and vascular surgery.
  • On-site hyperbaric oxygen therapy which expedites blood vessel and skin growth.
  • Specialized wound healing products and treatments.

Almost five million Americans suffer from chronic wounds. Wounds that don’t heal properly can quickly escalate from being a nuisance to a serious health threat.

Indications for wound care include:

  • Diabetic ulcers/sores
  • Wounds due to compromised blood supply, such as venous or arterial ulcers
  • Non-healing surgical wounds and suture sites
  • Traumatic wounds/crush injuries
  • Tissues and bones that are affected by radiation therapy
  • Flesh-eating bacteria
  • Brown recluse spider bites
  • Osteomyelitis

At the Wound Healing Center, we offer convenient parking and easy street-level access. Our location offers full services to meet all of your needs including radiologic imaging and laboratory onsite.

The number of HBOT treatments is decided on a case-by-case basis, and patients are reassessed each week.
