We are the first in Beaufort County to offer this innovative breast cancer screening tool. The standard MRI scan takes 45 minutes, while the AB-MR scan only takes about 10 minutes.

AB-MR is recommended for women who have dense breast tissue on a mammogram or have intermediate risk of 15-20%. Every woman who has a mammogram at Hilton Head Hospital, Bluffton Medical Campus or Coastal Carolina Hospital will have a breast cancer risk assessment completed.
