Cardiac Rehab

Learning to live heart healthy

If you had treatment or surgery to improve your heart health, you need to work to keep it in good shape by taking part in cardiac rehabilitation program designed to help you live heart healthy through improved diet and exercise. Cardiac rehab has been proven to help you live longer and feel healthier, and our therapists will support you throughout the process to help you achieve those goals.

Our comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program is designed for patients who:

  • Have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease
  • Have experienced a cardiovascular event (like a heart attack) or congenital heart disease
  • Have undergone treatment, such as coronary artery bypass graft surgery, valve surgery, angioplasty/stent
  • Are at high risk for developing cardiovascular disease or suffer from stable angina

This three-phase program will help you rebuild your physiological, psychological, social and emotional wellbeing, and it includes:

  • Smoking cessation assistance
  • Nutritional education and monitoring
  • Risk factor counseling
  • Vocational evaluation
  • Behavioral modification
  • Exercise therapy
  • Stress management
  • Diabetes management
  • Weight control

A physician’s referral is necessary to enroll in the program.
