Hardeeville and Hilton Head, SC – Hilton Head Regional Physician Network welcomes R. Scott King, DO to New River Urology alongside Michael J. Langley, MD and Eric S. Gwynn, MD.
“My approach to healthcare involves applying evidence-based medicine to community practice in a relatable manner to build trust within the physician-patient relationship,” said Dr. R. Scott King. “Urology is a hidden gem of medicine. It offers both the satisfaction of fixing acute problems as well as continuity with patients experiencing chronic conditions. Urologists are leaders in the technological advancement of surgery – regularly implementing fiber optic endoscopes, lasers, prosthetics, and robotic surgical platforms.”
Dr. King earned his medical degree at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed the urological surgery residency at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. Dr. King is a member of the member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the American Urological Association.
“Above all, the urological community is full of vibrant personalities and compassionate physicians who take great pride in caring for their patients,” shared Dr. King. “I consider it a wonderful privilege to join New River Urology and the Hilton Head Regional Physician Network to help care for this special population. In the month since moving to the Lowcountry, we’ve made friends, come to know our neighbors well, and experienced the welcoming spirit among those in Beaufort and Jasper counties and the surrounding areas.”
