Hilton Head Regional Healthcare Now Offering PET Scans in Bluffton

Feb 5, 2020

Bluffton, S.C. – February 5, 2020 – Hilton Head Regional Healthcare (HHRH) is now offering positron emission tomography (PET) services in Bluffton at its Bluffton Medical Campus.

PET scans are most often used to see how the organs and tissues inside the body are working. The circular, doughnut-shaped machine produces three-dimensional pictures used to detect cancer, brain disorders, heart problems and other central nervous system disorders.

“There are currently no other PET services in Bluffton, Hardeeville or Hilton Head Island,” said Jeremy Clark, Hilton Head Regional Healthcare CEO. “Our primary objective in providing PET services at the Bluffton Medical Campus is to centralize access to important imaging technology for residents and visitors in surrounding communities.”

The Bluffton Medical Campus is open from Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm.
