Hilton Head Regional Healthcare Names New Market Chief Executive Officer

Hilton Head, SC – Hilton Head Regional Healthcare promotes Joel Taylor to the position of Market Chief Executive Officer, effective September 30. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing all strategic, operational and clinical activities for the system.
Taylor joined Hilton Head Regional Healthcare in 2016, and has been with the system’s parent company, Tenet Healthcare, for ten years. He has held various senior leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Citizens Baptist Medical Center, and most recently Chief Executive Officer, Coastal Carolina Hospital. In addition to his CEO responsibilities at Coastal Carolina Hospital, Taylor was appointed market chief operating officer in April 2018, with operational responsibilities at both Hilton Head Hospital and Coastal Carolina Hospital. He replaces Jeremy Clark, who is also being promoted, and will assume the role of Group Chief Executive Officer, Alabama and Chief Executive Officer, Brookwood Medical Center.

Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Birmingham-Southern College and master’s degrees in business and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
