Alyssa-Robertson-300-x-200Hilton Head Regional Healthcare congratulates its Market Director of Education Alyssa Robertson for earning a scholarship from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. The $3,000 scholarship will be applied towards Robertson’s pursuit of her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership degree at Grand Canyon University.

“While working in the role of Market Director of Education, the Doctor of Nursing Practice in Educational Leadership program is already helping me to focus time and energy into creating new education for our many healthcare professionals at Hilton Head Regional Healthcare,” said Robertson. “As I worked in critical care, I often turned to the AACN for information and education, as well as certification as a critical care registered nurse (CCRN). They promote nursing excellence and I am very honored that they put their trust in me.”

Robertson says that the doctorate program teaches nurse leaders how to use current research and directly apply it to making changes in practice to improve patient outcomes.

“Seeing members of our team excel both at their role within our organization and in their personal endeavors is very rewarding,” said Jeremy Clark, Market Chief Executive Officer of Hilton Head Regional Healthcare. “We are all very proud of Alyssa and look forward to celebrating her continued progress.”
