Jeremy L. Clark, Market Chief Executive Officer
Jeremy Clark joins the Hilton Head market after serving as CEO of Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett, a 196-bed acute care hospital in Bartlett, Tenn., where he played an integral role in the growth of the hospital and development of new services, including the implementation of a ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) program and a robotic surgery program. Clark also previously served as vice president and chief of staff for Tenet CEO Trevor Fetter at Tenet’s corporate headquarters in Dallas, Texas. He was named to Becker's Hospital Review 2014 list of "Rising Stars: 25 Healthcare Leaders Under 40." The list recognizes men and women who have demonstrated excellence in their healthcare organizations and professional lives before turning 40.
Tom Neal, R.N., MHA, MBA, Chief Operating Officer
A registered nurse for more than 25 years, Tom Neal is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hospital and related services, ensuring that staff delivers high quality and cost effective care. He first joined Hilton Head Hospital in 2005 as the Director of Critical Care. Neal was promoted numerous times and held leadership positions in business development, cardiovascular, emergency and imaging services.
He earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the California College of Health Sciences in National City, CA.
Tom is a member of the Vanlandingham Rotary Club.
Lerryn Crocker, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, Chief Nursing Officer
Lerryn Crocker oversees and coordinates the nursing department and its daily operations. Crocker joined us this year as a seasoned nursing executive with more than 30 years of healthcare management experience in over 15 executive roles. She is certified by the ANCC as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psych/Mental Health.
Crocker received her psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner degree from Emory University and her masters in nursing administration from Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University.
Darlene Nester, Chief Human Resources Officer
Darlene Nester has more than 20 years of experience as a human resources professional. As chief human resources officer for Hilton Head Regional Healthcare, including Hilton Head Hospital and Coastal Carolina Hospital, Darlene and her team make sure we have well-qualified colleagues to deliver quality care to our patients.
Prior to joining Hilton Head Regional Healthcare, Darlene served as a human resources professional for Federated Department Stores, May Company, Ann Taylor, Inc., and Environments, Inc. Darlene is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. She serves on the board of directors for the Lowcountry Workforce Investment Board and is a former member of the Board of Hospice Care of the Lowcountry and United Way.
Cassie Ball, Chief Financial Officer
Cassie Ball, CFO, oversees all company accounting practices and directs the financial strategy, planning and forecasts for Hilton Head Hospital, Bluffton Medical Campus and other non-hospital entities. Ball received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Shelly Herndon Harrell, M.Ed – SLP, MHSA Vice President Business Development
Shelly Herndon Harrell is Vice President of Business Development and provides leadership for the development and business strategy for both Coastal Carolina Hospital and Hilton Head Hospital. Harrell first joined Hilton Head Hospital in 2010 as Physician Relations Manager and prior to that, she spent several years with Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, Georgia as Director of Business Development and as a speech and language pathologist.
She received her master’s degree in health administration from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in speech and language pathology from Valdosta State University, Georgia.
Lori Ross, RN, BS, MBA, Associate Administrator and Vice President of Clinical Quality Improvement
Lori Ross is a registered nurse and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University, Philadelphia. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 28 years. As VP Clinical Quality, she implements strategies to advance patient safety and clinical quality at our hospital ensuring our commitment to quality honors the trust that our patients and community place in our hospital.
