The Verizon Heritage recently announced that Hilton Head Regional Healthcare will continue as the official healthcare provider for South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event, the Verizon Heritage, recognized as one of the premier golf tournaments in the world. The tournament takes place April 12-18, 2010 at the famed Harbour Town Golf Links in The Sea Pines Resort.
“Hilton Head Regional Healthcare is very proud and pleased to once again be the official healthcare provider for the Verizon Heritage. The Heritage has a long tradition of excellence in entertainment and value to golf fans from all over the country, and Hilton Head Regional Healthcare has been delivering high-quality healthcare to our region for over 30 years,” said Mark T. O’Neil, president and chief executive officer for Hilton Head Regional Healthcare. “It’s a terrific match – both of our organizations consistently work to exceed the expectations of our customers and patients. Our doctors and staff are anxious to get started with providing healthcare support during the Verizon Heritage.”
As part of the agreement, Hilton Head Regional Healthcare will be providing healthcare services for tournament spectators, golfers and other guests. In addition, Hilton Head Regional will be an exhibitor in the Heritage Expo Village where we will be showcasing the hospitals’ services.
“We are very excited about our continued relationship with Hilton Head Regional Healthcare,” said Verizon Heritage Tournament Director Steve Wilmot. “Together we will be able to provide excellent healthcare for our players and guests. As cornerstones of our region, we see this relationship creating numerous opportunities for both the Verizon Heritage and Hilton Head Regional Healthcare.”
