Hilton Head Medical Center & Clinics was recently awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Department of Defense's National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
Lt. Joey DeAbate, a reservist in the United States Air Force and a nurse at Hilton Head Medical Center nominated the medical center for the "My Boss is a Patriot" certificate of appreciation. "Employer support plays a large part in the training, availability, and retention of our Guard and Reserve members. Public recognition of pro-military employers fosters a positive relationship with those employers and the community", says Robert J. Krenke, Master Sergeant, United States Air Force.
