Hilton Head Hospital's volunteers enhance the quality of care for our patients, as well as assist our staff and visitors, by tending to their non-medical needs in a caring and competent manner. Since opening its doors more than 35 years ago, this 93-bed Hospital has been a special place for our residents who wish to give of themselves in service to those who are in need of healthcare.
Volunteers serve in the following patient care areas:

In addition to the above, volunteer opportunities are available at our two outpatient facilities; Bluffton Medical Campus and Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center.
The volunteer program is open to men, women, and college students; additionally, high school students aged 14-18 may participate in our Junior Volunteer Program during the summer months. We welcome people who have time to share, a desire to give of themselves, a strong sense of responsibility, and a willingness to be flexible and learn new skills.
