The Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Departments at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center provide inpatient and outpatient diagnostic tests to aid your physician.  Our staff consists of medical technologists, histologists, cytotechnologists, and phlebotomists.  Our two board-certified Pathologists oversee the acquisition and analysis of patient specimens in a tightly controlled professional environment.  Our results are reported to the clinician through a sophisticated information system.

The Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

Hours of operation

Laboratory on the medical center’s main campus

Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

Patients are asked to report to Registration in the main hospital lobby before presenting to the Laboratory. 

Laboratory at Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center

(Next to Sun City, Hilton Head)

Monday 7:30 am - 1:30 pm

Thursday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

If your tests require you to be fasting, you may have water and/or black coffee (no cream or sugar).  If you are diabetic, you should take your medication as scheduled.
