| HHRMC Computed Tomography Services Earns Accreditation |

Hilton Head Regional Medical Center’s computed tomography services (CT Scan) has been awarded a three year accreditation from the American College of Radiology as a result of a recent survey for both adult and pediatric patients.
“This is a significant accomplishment for the imaging staff and radiologists,” states Jane Ouimette, Director of Imaging Services at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center. “The ultimate beneficiaries of this accreditation, however, are our patients, who are provided high quality care that is being offered by an accredited facility. This accreditation means that both staff and equipment have passed this rigorous evaluation and are positioned to provide the high quality images and reports for diagnosis of their medical condition.”
“By demonstrating our commitment to quality and high standards of care to the American College of Radiology, we were awarded this certification. Our commitment to high quality radiology services is ongoing and does not end with this accreditation, said Ouimette.”
The American College of Radiology awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in their field. |
