Our History…
- Hilton Head Hospital was built in 1974 and opened its doors in 1975 as a private, nonprofit, 40-bed, accredited medical facility.
- In 1994 Hilton Head Hospital was sold and became a part of the Tenet Healthcare Corporation.
Today…
Renamed Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, the hospital is currently certified for 93 acute care beds.
The main campus is comprised of three connecting buildings – the LaMotte Building, the Main Hospital Building, and the Medical Pavilion.
The south campus houses the Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Center, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, The Center of Healthy Living and Occupational Health Services.
The Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center located at the intersection of Hwy. 170 and Hwy. 278 offers a primary and urgent care center, outpatient surgery, radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, occupational health services, diagnostic cardiology and physician offices.
